Save the Date – WSPMA’s First-Ever State Legislative Day: January 27, 2026!

Get ready! History is being made! WSPMA’s first-ever State Legislative Day is happening on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at the State Capitol North Steps in Olympia, and we want every member to be part of this milestone event. Mark your calendars now!

This is the start of a new tradition for our association, a day dedicated entirely to advocating for our industry, building relationships with lawmakers, and ensuring that the voices of pest management professionals are heard loud and clear in Olympia. Legislative Day is one of the most powerful tools we have for shaping the policies that impact our businesses, and this inaugural event will set the tone for years to come.

And here’s where things get fun (and just a little wild): We’re bringing edible crickets, hissing cockroaches, and even spiders to the Capitol! We’re encouraging members to bring their legislators and staff to the North Steps for a photo op with the bugs — it’s a creative way to break the ice, start meaningful conversations, and make our industry unforgettable in the minds of decision-makers.

Pro tip: Legislators love the interactive side of this event — so invite them early and make sure they know they’ll have a chance to do something memorable (and maybe a little brave) while connecting with you and other WSPMA members.

More details, including the day’s agenda, talking points, and scheduling info — will be shared soon. But for now, circle January 27, 2026 in bold on your calendar and get ready to show up, speak out, and help make history.

This is our chance to make a statement in Olympia — and we’re going all in for our first Legislative Day!

See you on the Capitol steps,

Best regards,
