A Reflection from the Executive Director

As we close out the year, I find myself reflecting on just how much momentum, connection, and progress WSPMA experienced together. This was a year filled with events, meetings, conversations, and opportunities to learn from one another. From educational programs and networking gatherings to important advocacy discussions, WSPMA remained active, visible, and engaged on behalf of our members.

Throughout the year, WSPMA leaders represented our association across the country—bringing Washington’s perspective to national conversations, building relationships, and reinforcing the critical role pest management professionals play in public health, environmental stewardship, and business leadership. Closer to home, your Board of Directors worked collaboratively and transparently, maintaining open lines of communication and thoughtful governance to ensure the association remains strong, responsive, and well positioned as we move into 2026.

On a more personal level, this year brought a significant amount of change in my own life. Change has a way of testing focus and resolve, but it also offers clarity. With the encouragement and steady support of the WSPMA Board, our members, industry peers, friends, and family, I was able to navigate this new chapter with confidence. That support reminded me why this association matters so deeply to me and reinforced my commitment to serving both WSPMA and the pest management industry as a whole.

As I look ahead to 2026, I do so with renewed energy, incredible focus, and a genuine desire to serve you well. I am grateful for the trust you place in WSPMA and in me as your Executive Director. Thank you for your continued engagement, leadership, and belief in the work we are doing together. I’m excited for what lies ahead and proud of the community we continue to build.

Carrying His Legacy Forward

In May, I lost my dad, Tim—a past executive officer of WSPMA and the recipient of our first annual WSPMA Impact Award. His dedication to this industry and the people within it shaped not only his career, but my own path and purpose. He was my inspiration, my role model, and a steady example of service, leadership, and heart.

While his absence is deeply felt, his presence remains constant. I carry him with me—quite literally—along these industry adventures, sharing milestones, moments, and quiet reflections along the way. Each meeting, event, and new experience is another opportunity to honor the values he lived by and the legacy he left behind.

This journey is my way of staying connected, remembering where I came from, and continuing the work that mattered so deeply to him.
