Upcoming PCO Pre-License Training in Puyallup
August 25–27 and September 22–24, 2026
For pest management companies preparing new technicians or employees for Washington pesticide licensing exams, WSU Pesticide Resources and Education is offering two upcoming Pest Control Operator (PCO) Pre-License Training courses in Puyallup.
Courses will be held August 25–27 and September 22–24, 2026. Additional registrations are needed, so WSPMA members are encouraged to share these opportunities with employees and other pest management professionals who may benefit from exam preparation.
- Washington pesticide laws and regulations
- PCO General licensing material
- PCO Structural licensing material
- Integrated Pest Management and general entomology
- Ants, cockroaches, bed bugs and other structural pests
- Wood-destroying organisms
- Pesticide safety, labels, PPE and application equipment

Tuesday, August 25: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Wednesday, August 26: 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 27: 8:00 a.m.–11:00 a.m.
A limited WSDA testing session is planned for Thursday, August 27, from 12:30–4:00 p.m. Testing availability is subject to WSDA licensing staff availability and the number of registered participants.
September 22–24 Course
WSU will offer a second Puyallup training opportunity September 22–24 for those who are unable to attend the August course or who need additional time to prepare for licensing.
Registration Information
Early Bird Registration: $190
Regular Registration: $285 beginning 14 days prior to the course
Those planning to participate in the WSDA examination should pre-enroll for testing during course registration. At the testing session, participants must pay the $25 testing fee and the applicable license fee.
WSDA accepts checks, cashier's checks or money orders payable to WSDA for testing and licensing fees.
If you have an employee preparing for licensing, this training provides focused instruction to help them prepare for their exams. WSPMA members are also encouraged to share these courses with other pest management professionals who may need pre-license instruction.
