New WSDA Search Tools Make It Easier to Find Current Pesticide & Fertilizer Information

WSDA has launched new public search tools for pesticide and fertilizer products registered in Washington. Pest management professionals can search by product name, ingredient, use restrictions, and other criteria while accessing current registration information and labels. The tools also include Section 24(c) Special Local Need registrations and are continuously updated, giving professionals a convenient resource for checking current Washington product information.WSDA has launched new public search tools for pesticide and fertilizer products registered in Washington. PestVets Looks Ahead: New Ways to Serve, Recognize & Support Veterans

WSPMA PestVets is looking ahead to new opportunities to recognize and support veterans within our industry and communities. During the October meeting, the group discussed Veterans Day recognition, a potential winter needs drive, Quilts of Valor, community grant opportunities, and plans for 2027. PestVets will also transition to quarterly meetings to support stronger planning and participation. Stay tuned as these ideas develop into actionable projects, volunteer opportunities, donation needs, and ways for WSPMA members to get involved.

WFFF Update: Washington Issues to Watch for Pest Management Businesses

The latest Washington Friends of Farms & Forests (WFFF) update highlights several developments worth watching for pest management businesses. Washington’s rules for dyed diesel use on public roads remain unchanged despite recent federal tax relief. The state is also moving toward linking its carbon market with California and Quebec in 2027, an effort intended to stabilize allowance prices. WSU researchers are additionally calling attention to growing cybersecurity threats affecting businesses throughout agriculture and related industries.

2027 WSDA Pesticide License Renewal Is Now Open: New C&T Requirement in Effect

Washington pesticide license renewal for 2027 is now open through the Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA). This year, applicators should be aware of an important new requirement: meeting the updated Certification & Training (C&T) requirements is necessary for recertification, even if enough continuing education credits have been earned. WSPMA encourages members to review their license and recertification status, complete the required C&T quiz, and renew early to avoid delays before the upcoming licensing year.
