The Washington Commission on Integrated Pest Management (WCIPM) is now accepting proposals for its 2027 research funding cycle.
This is an opportunity for Washington pest management professionals and industry groups to help identify and address real-world pest challenges through research, demonstrations, pesticide registration projects, integrated pest management programs, and resistance-management efforts.
WCIPM funding awards have historically ranged from $2,500 to $35,000. Proposals must originate from, or demonstrate support from, an affected pest management user group. A researcher does not need to be identified when the proposal is initially submitted.
Proposal presentations and evaluations will take place December 15–16, 2026 in Ellensburg, Washington. A representative of the submitting user group should plan to attend the review meeting.

WSPMA encourages members who are seeing emerging pest problems, gaps in available control tools, resistance concerns, or other research needs to review the opportunity and consider submitting a proposal.
